Since having to wait for the works on our new house to start is an invaluable lesson in patience (which is not usually one of my strong points), I wanted to use my spare time with continuing to hunt for treasures in the form of cheap antique furniture in need of TLC & renovation :o)
Here are some before pictures:
A pair of turn of the century nightstands
Glass cabinet for the new dining room
This is what my home looked like in the process :o( One could barely move around anymore ... just as well that Hubby was on a business trip ;o)
Kitchen & dining table -> all surfaces were covered either with furniture parts or work equipment!
Even the dressing room looked like a war zone
BUT this is what the finished work looks like and I'm quite happy with the outcome:
The old nightstands will go in the main bathroom next to each sinks - one can never have too much covered up space for cream tubes, makeup, perfume, etc.!
This little cabinet was already gold so I only needed to re-paint the inside & shelf. What I'm gonna use it for, I honestly don't know yet, but it was too cute to resist :o) Perhaps I should start collecting antique figurines so I can store them dust-protected inside?
Since the new bathroom will be all white & silver and in the style of the late 1800's I got these brass appliqués and spray-painted them silver
And as I was already in full swing with my paint brush, why not pink up some flower pots? ;o)
