Grace Kelly & Elisabeth, Empress of Austria
These two women are as different as can be but are equally fascinating - at least to me. Obviously they were both one of the most beautiful women of their time!
I admire Grace Kelly tremendously for her style but most of all for her personality! If I could choose to meet one famous person dead or alive I would without doubt wish to make her acquaintance!!!
Elisabeth, better known under her pet name Sisi, the Austrian Empress of the 19th century was famous the world over for her stunning beauty, especially for her long & thick hair, she was very intelligent, spoke 7 languages fluently, had the travel bug like me but was beyond eccentric & probably quite egoistic!
As these two ladies are my biggest idols, I have a vast collection of everything about them that I could get my hands on ... Besides all books ever printed, vintage postcards & movie posters, etc. I found coins with their portraits. Since they are of little use staying dust-protected in a box, I got them transformed into jewelry using designs according to the period :o)
Since Sisi didn't wear jewelry herself (unless required for stately affairs), I had to look for images from this period and work out my own design :o)
