Face Cream
The other day I met this beautiful girl with curly hair down to her mid back and smooth skin the color of pale olive … she looked about 23 to max. 25. When she told me she was 31 I almost fell out of my clouds being 37 (ok, ok, I reluctantly admit it) and looking younger myself ... She looked so young and didn't have a trace of lines, much less wrinkles. I just had to ask her what her secret was, fully bracing myself for the saintly ‘I sleep 8 hrs a day, drink 2 gallons of still water, am a vegetarian and only eat 2 carrot sticks a day, don’t do coffee and don’t smoke’ routine.
Instead I was stunned when I learned that she was a full blown party animal who hadn’t slept much during the last 3 nights in a row, smoked like a chimney and her only secret was pure and simply: good old Nivea cream. The one that has been around since our grandmother’s days!!!
So I decided to use up all my super-expensive creams that are sold in basically nothing more than sample sizes (cute little tubes of 15 – 35 ml at a starting prices of E 23!) and give the good old Nivea cream in its still originally designed blue metal container with the white fonting a try! I figure if a cream has survived in its original formula for generations there must be something to it – and this beauty I met seems to be its living prove!!!
